Thats something I always said. He dismatled a giant of a team and ruined it! Whoever followed as a new manager already had the kiss of death marked on their forehead! Benitez brought glory. Woy the boy was a joke. Kenny wasn't given resources or time and he was made a scapegoat.

as a long suffering lfc supporter iv seen so many false dawns when a new manager started. ill hold judgement on klopp but if he gets us playing the high pressure game that dortmund played then il be happy.
as for souness he was a fucking disaster got rid of a lot of excellent players and brought in shite like tovin picnik |

question ..how many of the current panel would get into team that won champions league .
answer :none because they are just average players .and hitler wont make them good players. ...prob finish around 8th |

Looks a great appointment on paper but we have been here before.
just hope klopp delivers, he will have to work with the current squad as I highly doubt they will give him much to spend in January after spending 80m in the summer, patience required I think.

Only reason United won their last league title was because of 1 player, 1 player and a great manager can win anything, players need someone in charge that knows what he's doing, fergie won alot of his titles with average teams! |

Alot of liverpool fans are creaming klopp. Hes the messiah.... just dont expect him to turn water into wine. He guided a brilliant bunch of players to sucess in germany but after a few left he couldnt get them past 7th in a piss poor league. But i do like him tho.. Hes gonna be brilliant craic |

Gave us a great time in 2001 then a league cup but really was he the mastermind of Istanbul.
Garcia scored a wonderful goal against Juve. Alonso was incredible in his first season. Houllier had a hard on for Heskey and Diouf, Rafa had neither!!
Rafa also moved Carragher to centre half, we wouldn't have got near no 5 without him!!

I am and always will be a Liverpool supporter. If you remember when we won probably the best ever champions league final in 05 we didn't have a great side. We had a handful of great players but not a great team. It was a world class player and captain Stevie g that lifted the team on the night and a good manager Benitez who got the best out of some mediocre players. Excluding Stevie g I think we have a better group of players now than we had then, and a great manager in klopp. I am very hopeful but with the long suffering we have had to endure for so long I'm holding off on any judgment on klopp till I start seeing results. The proof is in the pudding as the saying goes... |
