Happy Saturday folks! Haven't done this one for a while, hit me with your favourite Autumn dishes. 'Tis the season for soups and warm comfort food (although looking outside today I might have to dig out the salad bowl again )
I found an amazing recipe for Thai coconut, sweet potato and butternut squash soup that was tdf- I'll share if anyone wants me to. |

I'd love to try that soup recipe could you pm it on to me also and thanks in advance.I would recommend Gordon "f==kin'" Ramsays' leg of lamb roast done with apples, garlic, honey and cider as a hearty Sunday dinner for autumn, just google it for the recipe.
Today I cooked a bulk batch of chicken breast diced and fryed in saved chicken fat from a roast chicken last week, seasoned with sea salt and freshly ground rainbow pepper(tesco)added in some chopped red chilli and a little chopped garlic to the fat, fryed the chicken until it was golden brown and kept the heat one notch down from full heat and kept moving the mix in the pan to prevent any sticking, removed the meat and solids from the oil and chucked it into a big mixing bowl, then added diced smoked bacon(butchers offcuts) into the hot pan and fryed it up,when almost cooked through I added sliced mushrooms and some rapeseed oil to the pan and let them fry until the bacon was slightly crispy, removed both and any solids to the bowl, added egg whites to the hot pan covered the base of the pan with them to a depth of about 15mm,again kept the contents of the pan moving until cooked and had mixed in well with the fat, removed into the bowl then added a splash more oil and fryed pineapple chunks til they started to stick to the bottom of the pan, removed to the bowl.
While this was all happening I had a pot of penne pasta mixed with frozen peas on the go in a pot, drained it and added this to the mixing bowl added some more salt and pepper. At this stage I was like the chef from the muppets happily hurdy gurdying and gobbled a plate of it with some toasted french bread. Cooled the remainder and bagged it for the freezer |

GGgosh that's a heck of a compliment.I did note "almost", adding a dollop of mayonnaise before the first mouthful might just make your toes curl |

One person saying they make "homemade" bread at home and another clearly cutting and pasting other peoples work and passing it off as their own , tesco pepper etc. !!
Just not real.
And you are right - I was grumpy - too much grog last night , but that doesn't invalidate my point.

Butternut squash with smokey bacon soup is awesome although it has a very similair taste to lentil soup.
Carrot and red pepper with coriander soup is also very hearty and warming but if you want something with a real kick to it try onion and cider soup. |

Your totally wrong about the cut and paste my dear chap, think before you accuse in future, wars have been started for less. The tesco rainbow pepper grinders contents is a taste which I really like hence the reference,do you think I'm also the meat marketing board of Ireland too because I mentioned the butchers offcuts?
I laughed my head off at your self assured, arrogant tone, then I thought to myself,"what a fool".
