Hey everyone!
I've not been to pushy in my time on Fab. I'm a normal guy with a normal job and a normal sex drive. However, I'm still waiting on that sacred first meet and verification that comes with it.
Myself and a "close" friend joined as a couple but I seem to be more interested in this than she is.
Is this a result of Fab being a woman's world or am I just a bore?
(I'm not really a bore once you get to know me)

It seems that guys have to put in a fair bit of effort with the ladies. Especially when you've not been verified. But you'll probably find that once you've had the first one or two you'll be a bit like a tube of Pringles. Keep chipping away at it, take part in the forums n make yourself known. It will happen eventually  |

Saw your post just there Charlie. My sympathies. Interesting stuff.
Thanks for the advice belfast_couple. I just wonder how much of a difference there is between how I'd meet someone here and in a bar say. Obviously there's no rude images of me being flashed around the bar but still... At least I hope there's no nude images... |

I have the "blocked, being rude to, ignored and the difficult to fit in" T shirt guys. I even left the site once.
But you know what I came back here determined to try harder. I know I was sound guy but just found it hard to convey that, hence acceptance was difficult.
From experience, keep chipping away by being polite, courteous and witty. The Forum is an ideal place for this.
Since my return I have managed the breakthrough I was determined to achieve. Tbh I never did anything much different except i was more patient. This paid off big time and I now have the best friends ever which I couldnt have possibly met anywhere else.
Hang in there it will happen!!

Be patient Bear. You sound like a decent man and your point is put across politely and well.
Think of here like walking down a street. Some people you sed you fancy others you dont - same here.
People are all different shapes and sizes - same here.
People have different tastes and preferences - same here.
Some people bump into you and say sorry but others are rude and just walk on and say nothing - same here.
Only one thing more is sometimes we write things that can be lost in translation causing people to read and interpret it different ways than was originally intended. Through time you will know and adjust your style accordingly.
Hope you dont give up too early as theres great people on here that you just havent met yet - but you will !! |
