Connolly has been cleared to play. Appeal heard in the early hours of the morning. Boxing a lad in the head while he is on the ground is fair game in GAA now.
This sets a bad precedent.

Just one more observation .in last year's drawn semi final .a certain lee keegan got sent off for kicking a Kerry player .appealed and played in replay.

If Mayo play Andy Moran they will win. O'shea is decent full forward but they are just kicking balls into him. Can't understand the Connolly thing! But hey ho fuck it he is Defo best player in Ireland and he should play. Sets a bad precedent though. But a lot of guys have got off in the past so why not him? Heart says Mayo. Head is split! I'm going for Dublin. To much out and out fire power up front! I'll still be backing Mayo though purely as they are underdogs! |

Both managers made selection foh pahs last week, they should both get it right this week, however dubs hands are tied due to connolly's suspension, id expect mayo to improve more from last week, and o shea to get more fouls, its how refs minds work...but mayo still have two quite average 3/4 lines and if Flynn turns up the dubs much better in this department....
..prediction...mayo...dubs dont have connolloy or long enough to make the necessary improvements..
..one last point..essentially the dubs got an extra days rest..all home by 9 last week...mayo stayed in Dublin then travelled home..in traffic...monday...that doesn't help tired legs!!! |

Sorry what your saying is wrong, this does not set precedent as precedent had already been set.
I don't agree with the decision anyone caught striking should face a mandatory ban, but the GAA have created this mess by letting it go on a number of occasions.
Dublin to win by 3 or 4 for me |

Welll...flynn still needs to turn up...but genuinely..thats prob worth 2/3 points..now Keegan has to man mark and he's mayo only driving force....don't expect Connolly to b man if the match...but don't expect Keegan to b either....

Your totally right. The precedent is set all the time now. Guys get of with red and yellow cards all the time. A leaf out of the rugby reffing book needs to be adopted by the GAA. I'm not a big rugby fan myself but do respect the discipline imposed by the refs. A lot of the battle seems to be off the ball pulling and dragging. Stopping this would help a lot. |

It will be a hard fought match, both teams will be out to prove a point today.

Dublin dominated in the first of the last game, they becamme shoddy in the second so I doubt if they will let this haplen today.
Mayo will be fired up after a magnificent comeback, yet I honestly can not see them dominate what is always a strong Dublin team.
As always though , anything can happen in gaa so may the best team win on the day. |

Kerry for Sam etc now from every single non dub, it was Mayo for Sam until a few hours ago, come on out of the woodwork and cheer on kerry, let's be having yis! if you put as much energy into supporting your own county as yis do into the non Dublin brigade I'm certain your county would benefit from it.
