Have u people seen the front pages of the papers today...unreal,and some people think they have problems.sometimes we have to just step back and think how lucky we really are...

Its heartbreaking and really hit home as my daughter is the same age as the little boy. Already has been called the most poignant photo in the last forty years.

I only saw it in the garage on the way home and ended up driving the rest of the journey home in tears.

I feel so helpless and upset for those poor people and at the same time so worried and scared for us

WTF do we do?? We can't even keep our own country in order!!

He couldn't live with himself because he did nothing for the child..... that's why he killed himself....how anyone could not have picked the tot up and taken him to a camp is beyond me...

Why Do you say that? Did anyone you know organise a fundraiser for all the homeless here? Offer a bed? How do we look after more homeless people?

If I recall, he was actually told not to touch the child as then he would have to be quarantined.

It's the standard response, I was preempting - see the other thread on the subject for examples.

I expect our Government to show some leadership on the matter but Coveney is failing badly.
