Reported today that Jeremy Clarkson will get £800,000 per episode of the new car show he is doing! Seriously! On Amazon Prime which no one watches!

Not as depressing as a fella getting £300k a week for playing football - before sponsorship deals, bonuses, signing on feed etc

That's the point,no one watches amazon prime so they hope top gear will bring their audience with them. And a lot will get it to see them

I read over the 5 year contract it will cost AP 240 mill

But if they help generate huge profits its fair they get a cut. Their is huge money with football tv deals and sponsorship its better players getting a fair cut rather than the suits at the top. Same with TV shows

when top gear was in rds in Dublin ' people payed 100 euros to see them' have to admit some wonderful cars on the show
