Might be a strange place to bring this up here but hey why not .
Go back to the mad hectic days of the celtic tiger when we all, well nearly all, lost our heads with work money etc.
For the best part of ten years I worked between 12 to 18 + hours a day , six days a week.
As we all know the party ended and the shit really hit the fan for many people myself included. After the dust settled I found myself looking at life totally. As in a total 180 from before.
And thus to my question , is it possible to be to laid back , too relaxed, too " just do not care or give a fuck " . And what is your opinion on getting the whole work, family, personal time right or whatever your idea of balance is. |

Hey Chappy, hard question to answer, there's loads of surfers who manage to pull off the "just do not care or give a fuck" lifestyle, but half of them have a mid-life crisis and they get jobs!lol
I'm not sure about the correct life balance, I'm still searching for that myself, but if you want to focus your mind, spend a day in a cancer ward, that will show you what's important in life.

Mad/weird/crazy question yeah but interesting.
I (Male here) left Ireland just before the boom and came back just as it burst.......and I am not talking about a condom 
I've almost always had the work/life balance needed since coming home. I had business abroad that always drained me.
Here I log in at 9. Log out at 5.30 and go home to my wife.
Our weekends are great etc.
Luckily we have decent jobs. That's what stops others from balancing their life.

Hey,only from a Northern approach,work and pay always in Derry has been and can guarantee,always will be low,I have always worked hard,maybe from my farming tradition,so believe work equals reward..... |

"Balance" is the key word here. I work a 37 hour week and I even feel that's too much. Too often, you spend an extra day working at home with all the stuff that needs to be done around the gaff also. I guess it's a question of good time management and making sure you get up early enough to make good use of the day.. |
