Take ur time and choose wisely a social meet with no pressure to play can help to both settle yer nerves and see if there's an attraction.
Use an app like Kik to contact a potential meet so as not to give ur phone no out or a play phone that can be thrown away if needed.
Face pics are a bit controversial so if u can photo bomb them or some don't swap just meet for coffee remember once it's on the net u have no control over who sees them
Expectations lead to disappointment so the lower ur expectation of a meet the less disappointment if it doesn't work out
But most of all have fun and enjoy exploring
