Too much info on forum??
Jump to: Newest in thread
Guys I'm newish to forum & iv just been told that forums are public & anyone not registered can read posts (pics are blurred). Now iv also just seen 2 posts, 1st gave a guest list & 2nd gave a rough description of where party is at.
Is it just me or am I thinking this is bang out of order. I think all these details (guest list & address) should be sent to the ppl who are attending party, sure what business is it if others whose on & where, if their not going. Privacy is key in here I think. What do u think? |

"Didn't see any guest list? But yes they're on public display if posted on forum"
Guest list was posted just previous to venue details. I know exact details of address wasn't on it but don't think it would take a genius to see date & description of building & of course the cars etc on night to figure out. Everyone else uses discretion. |

Iv no prob with dogging sites as part of fun is prob public display & no one really would be interested in spying or if they are it for their own kicks. But iv heard of stories of newspapers etc trying to track down these parties so with so much details, it's just real odd & kinda worrying especially when they should've done in privately. |

Humm that is a difficult one!
If this was the uk or germany! It is standard practice to post guest lists, as the general view in these countries is it is noones business what consenting people do.
Yet in ireland its still seen as nudge nudge wink wink! Hide behiend the curtains and gossip time.
The said guest list has user names! Not actual names so why is it a problem?
Oh the news papers may get wind of it??
Humm so what! What are they going to say...headline group of consenting adults hold sex party!! Again so what.
As proved last year when a paper in cork held such a headline and radio stations talked about a meet and greet! And to their shock most people rang in and said so what! And this is not news.
The only way to fight this is to shrg your shoulders and go ehh!
Yes of course there is some need of privacy! But if we were "found out" and put on a paper one wed prob sue, and two were married not cheating, grown ass adults and most of our friends esp the blokes would say wow go u2
Bottom line we dont overly see a problem with the guest list on show, as its just site names ect!
But then again what do we know...let the mauling begin
Let us get the first one out of the way!
"ohh if you guys are so fearless why dont you show your faces and say your real names"
Answer your an idiot go away. |

They are new to the party organisation scene by the looks of it and they have made a mistake no doubt. However they have removed the offending threads and i think this one should now be removed as well.

I wish to apologise genuinely and unreservedly for my lack of judgement tonight and my lack of knowlegde as I had no idea that non fabbers could see the forum posts .
My intention was to put the list in a place where it was easiest to see it for everyone as nearly everyone who is attending had requested a copy of the guest list .
Thanks to the people have contacted me to let me know , it was much appreciated .
I would also like to add that this was down to me and nothing to do with Black Canadian .
Thanks for reading |

It is not really our concern because we are not going to this party...but I would like to add that your point that non fabbers can see the list is only half the point. Most people going to parties do not want people who are not attending to see the list even fab members. This can be for a number of reasons but discretion as we all know is THE most important thing apart from anything else in swinging. Sam |

the issue is more that people who attend parties are entitled to their privacy , and that includes their usernames here . I can see it was a rookie mistake made by the organiser , and a regrettable one , however it seems in the u k , this is the norm , a guest list is often published for gatherings , and they seem to not have an issue with it , but this is a much smaller community here in ireland and no dout several people whos names appear on that list will not be too impressed to have their intended shenanigans plastered all over the forums for gawkers to look at . Anyone can make a mistake , however its the privacy issue the original poster is most upset about and I cant say I blame her . I would feel exactly the same . |

Strange that quite a large number of members here are quite happy to chat on forums about their intention to attend a party.
Nearly every post on an up and coming party is full of chat between members, so not everyone is concerned about privacy it seems. |
