In the past when we hosted parties we always supplied a guest list to the guests.
This gave the guests the option to cancel early if there were people attending that other people did not get on with going too.
We only ever gave the list to those invited as it's nobody else's business who was attending a private party |

I am just curious because from wandering round the site and forums I see a huge difference.
In the UK, some party organisers even publish the guest list on their profile.
However in Ireland it's much more secretive.
Personally, I'd prefer to see a guestlist if I was invited to a party. I wouldn't want to go to a party if my boss or a family member were going (obviously I'd need to know their username first!), or a user I don't like. I wouldn't want to be in an intimate situation like a party with any of these people.
I don't see the problem with a guestlist being provided or asked for. I think it's a good idea.
And privacy or discretion cannot be used as an argument when most people going to certain events post on threads saying they're going/2 more sleeps /what to wear etc. |

Jilly you are quite right .... We prefer a host with experience managing events and of course trust is a huge thing no one wants to end up having a bad experience
Some parties we will never attend as we either do not rate the host or we don't trust the host |
