I know we all want to have nice pics but it'd beyond me why people go to extreme lengths using instagram/iso or whatever it is they use to have this "perfect look",when we meet then it's obvious your not all tanned and wrinkle free I'm guilty of using black and white plus dimmer lights to get the shaded look but seriously comeon!!
I prefer original normal pics no editing and colouring but am I alone??

I'd love to have my pics photoshopped just to see what id look like
I am guilty of using black and white pics (and a dimly lit room) but I do think they can look better.
But using very edited pics here is a bit pointless, no way you can live up to that in real life.

I'm talking about over editing pics!
Having perfect skin when your blotchy or milky white and your tanned all over...
Kitty I love your pics I don't mean that either...
When we get face pics and all wrinkles have been removed or a body pic..
A fake all over tan... |

Its pointless altering pics if you are meeting
I met a couple a while back and in their profile pics they had baywatch bodies.
in real life???? Not!! Well not in this decade anyway.
on a side note some of the angles people manage to take pics at look painful, half the folks on here must be double jointed |

I don't see the point in doing a thing, i take pics as i am, my legs are white but i am naturally tanned on arms and shoulders, i probably look weird but none here have perfect bodies truth is when i was here before i met men who aged years in a werk and had no muscles , i don't care about body size, but it's the deceiving i dislike

Presumably they aren't happy with how they look, but imagine their stunning personalities will compensate when meeting for real - or that the other people will have their beer goggles on. |

I enjoy playing with the light and colour setting of my photos, however would not go about correcting my looks. I also upload new photos regularly, so people can see how I currently look, so there is no surprise by the time we meet in person.
If someone enhances their looks to disguise their imperfections for the sake of having nice photos, it's not a good idea in my view, as it misleads others. |

I've heard of this happening with one or two couples in particular.
Their photos would lead you to believe they are 'all that and a bag of chip's but the reality is far different
As others, I play around with lighting but that's it |

Lighting etc fine cause it can make a pic sexy
but altering your body shape to show a svelte body or a 6 pack when in reality its a family pack is just stupid
It smacks of arriving at a meet hoping "ah sure Im here now I might as well" |

But you finally meet and they are like 10 yrs older or body is definitely not what it looked like in the pic or they have terrible skin...

I don't get why people pshop their photos or use fakes when they know they will have to meet someone someday. If you are not honest about your appearance then why show up to meet someone. Person will more than likely just walk away thinking you're a complete spanner. |

I personally have no problem with photoshop. Life is cruel and some people unfortunately are just considered "ugly". The cold hard fact is that people who have won the genetic lottery and are naturally gorgeous are basically playing life on easy mode. People in customer service are generally nicer to them, they are less likely to get picked on or mocked solely on their appearance, and most importantly, it's drastically easier to try to find a partner, where as "ugly" find it an impossible feat.
Women have been drastically changing their appearance for eons with makeup no one bats an eye, but do it with a computer, and everyone loses their minds!
Yes Photoshop is "cheating" but in this age where meeting people online is the norm, it gets your foot in the door so someone will actually give you a chance to realise you're sound. It's the modern day equivalent of waking up beside a girl and seeing her without her makeup and seeing she looks very different, but you don't care because you have realised at that stage that they are actually a nice person. |

I don't understand photos being photoshopped at all. I can see where happily is coming from but at the same time I'd rather 100% honesty because if I met someone who didn't look like what they portray on here I wouldn't be happy at all.
Yes we all use colour filters and personally I like that but going beyond that is ridiculous!! I suppose the socials etc are a much better way of judging so you get to see what people actually look like and in my opinion more importantly you actually get to see their personality!! |

Here is an interesting one. I'm colour blind so to me adjusting colours is a bloody nightmare and I'm also a very amateur photographer. While as a rule I crop and blur my photos more so to hide the back round than to make my bits bigger or smaller. I have to agree with the statement that some people use bags of make up and that's okay but photos hop is a sin.
Now of course the amount of photoshop used is the thing. I hide my tattoos and nothing else other than the backround. My face, well I'm stuck with that but the rest of my body I can change with a bit of hard graft, well almost all of it. Personally I haven't seen any drastic examples lately but it would faze me until I meet them in person.
I always leave it in their hands when meeting me, if I don't match my photos feel free to walk. No hard feelings and no false advertising |

i hide a birth mark, convert to balck and white, bit of contrast adjustment and cropping if needs be
anything more than that and i wouldnt feel it would be right to upload them
i can always spot the cosmetically adjusted Photoshop pics
i challenged a UK profile once just to see what they had to say but they just denied it. they had plenty of positive meet veri's so you would have to wonder |

I don't get why people would remove chest hair especially.. I love a bit of hair and I know I'm not the only one!! As for the tan that's kinda a dodgy one, I always have a bit of tan on (I don't smell like biscuits tho!!) so could the person have had fake tan on at the time of the picture?
I just don't see why people feel the need to put pictures up that may resemble what they 'think' people want to see. At the end of the day everyone has their own tastes and preferences and there's enough choice out there. Hence why personally I don't see the need to conform to what you may think others want to see |

Sure it's a joke really cos would u not rather a person say "wow their pics don't do them justice" when they meet u in person rather than "OMG wtf their pics must have been taken 20 years ago lol". I think it's better to be happily surprised rather than truly Dissapointed lol. To be fair I choose not to put pics of my belly rather than put a photoshopped pic of it looking all toned haha. |

I'm fair haired but do have a bit of chest fluff which doesn't show up. I would look pretty stupid with any to but a farmers tan.
To me and most guys I don't think a tan makes a blind bit of difference when looking for a playmate but a photo shopped tan looks rather silly.
I do think people should be let use any filter they wish as long as they don't alter body shape or use photos from 5 years ago giving a false view of who they are now |

First off I've met happily and she doesn't need photoshop.
Secondly I like b&w pics, to me they look a little classy.
Thirdly I don't post face pics...if I did then I'd need photoshop. Or a bucket of Vaseline for the lens. |

And Vaseline can be used in so much more inventive ways |

As someone in the industry who has been using photoshop for 15 years the only thing I do to an image to prepare it for display on the web is auto-levels to balance out the colours, sharpeness etc and the unsharp mask. I would optimize the file size as well to make it as small as possible without loss of quality but that a performance/bandwidth cost issue more than anything else.
That pretty much all you need to do to make your images look good, unless you have to crop crap out of it or resize it and stuff but I wouldn't doctor an image unless asked to do so.
So yeah, auto-levels and unsharp mask should do the trick for most photographic images. |

I get a friend to take mine using my phone.
I wouldn't know how to jazz them up as I'm not good with computers.
Having said that I'm not showing my belly on them!
I have seen some that obviously are and those added inches put on the cock pics lol. |

I take all mine with the phone so bar the odd black and white you are seeing it all raw.
It's the people with 10 year old pics I can't figure out. Have had a few shocks when I went for the coffee meet.. |

"Can't use photoshop or anything at all, all my pics are 100% raw"
Any half decent webmaster will setup his webserver to do it for you when you upload them to forums and places like this. That's what I do with a simple script anyway.
I think they do something similar here because I didn't have to resize or play around with my pic before uploading it. |

I take photos from the better angles and use some filters to change the colour and shading. Have never photoshopped to alter my size or shape. Plus I state on my profile my body type and size seeing as some of my photos do make me look skinnier than I am.

For the record, I wasn't talking about photoshopping your pics to make you 100lbs slimmer, or increasing your biceps/willy size etc. I'm talking about brushing up the image a bit. To make your skin clearer or hide spots or whatever. Everyone here seems to think filters are fine, but that's what filters do. They can make your eyes look brighter, teeth whiter, skin clearer, depending on how the filter deals with levels and contrast and colour ratios, which is basically what touching up a photo in Photoshop does. A few years ago anyone using a dating site was seen as pathetic and desperate, but now everyone uses it and so the general perception is that its ok. Similarly, now anyone here can use an app to add filters that camauflages blemishes etc making there skin look clearer, but since the majority of people here admit to not be able to use photoshop, they are against what they don't know. Adding a filter is actually photoshopping your picture, it's just a pre designed package that makes it easy for non tech savey people to use.
if you actually want people to see what you really look like on your profile, you should put pics of you doing the dishes or taking out the bins in your baggies, which is what a person looks like the majority of the time. But everyone wants to put forward the best possible first impression. Because on sites like this, (for example tinder) a person decides writhing the first second if they like them, and if not, they don't even get a chance to talk and see if they actually get along. I do think doing things like enlarging your willy is a bit silly, but there's nothing wrong with touching up photos a bit if you feel that people will not even give u a second glance. That's exactly what filters and make up does.
