I guess it's that Irish English rivalry?
Anyway. I figure the driver would be at least up on an assault charge, and possible another charge for threatening to kill someone, if the other muppet presses charges. Bike muppet should not have pursued the driver and escalated the situation. Middle aged old overweight muppet past him prime should not have behaved like a 20 something on riods.
Maybe there is some logic in the phrase "never get involved in an argument with an idiot because it makes it hard to tell which one of you is the idiot". |

I'd personally like to slap the fucking cyclist!!
Anyone can hop on a bike and cycle through a city anywhere..
They don't need a licence or tax they don't have to have a clue about road safety or pass any kind of safety measures to prove they are capable of using a public road...
He was clearly on the middle of the road...
And that's in any country but it's beyond me why anyone picks it out and randomly says it's because they are English!!
When someone says that it makes me cringe to be irish |

"That's it. Everyone jack my thread and turn it into some uk v Ireland crud " I'm to blame for that. My apologies sir. I posted a statement and didn't fully explain the context.
Again, apologies. |

There are gobshite drivers and gobshite cyclists and if everyone just did what they supposed too and have a little consideration for each other then the would would be a better place.
New cycle laws came in recently so on the spot fines for running red lights and 6 other offences.
Just not enough love for each other anymore and that makes me sad.. |

What an angry inconsiderate driver. That cyclist was perfectly positioned on the road to avoid being hit by a car door being opened and the driver didn't give adequate clearance for a cyclist which by design is more unstable than a 4 wheeled vehicle.
I thought the cyclist was very calm in his approach to the driver, if that was me the adrenaline would have kicked in after someone had put my life in danger for no need like that and I'd not have been half as calm as him |

Why are you aplogising??
I read the thread twice, you called the pair off them dickheads, did not mention their Nationality.
It was another poster who brought that up.
Or did you remove a post??? |

Admin cleaned up the worst of the posts I think. |

Hey some of the posts are gone and my thread has shrunk.
I think the poster(s) must have asked for their posts to be removed. I can't imagine an admin or mod just arbitrarily deleting posts unless asked to do so. |

Found a good "instant karma is a bitch" vid.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZdHbBgM8Ug
It's 2 bullies picking on a santa, a black santa I think he is. Anyway this santa has some marshall arts training and judging by the speed and precision of his reverse turning kick, a black belt as well.
Ohhh, that's gotta hurt. lol |

Yes, it's a €40 instant fine if not obeying by the rules! I would have thought wearing a helmet would be first on the list of the rules but it didn't get a mention at all!! |

Well I found out where all those UK V Ireland posts went. Someone reported it to admin and at least one member was banned.
I guess they are pretty strict around here when it comes to things like that. |

"I don't wear a helmet either. It's not against the law unless you live in a nanny state."
Mr69: please change your mind about helmets peeps. My old man has just been released from hospital after spending 2 weeks in a coma earlier in the summer after a fall from his bike in the middle of nowhere. He nearly died. |
