The dependence on mobiles only got worse with the smart phone. Those ones a little bit older like me know that there was once a life without mobile and it was not a bad one: No annoyance when there's no signal, enjoying the well deserved after office hours and weekend without phone calls from clients/boss, no fear of running out of batteries, no pressure having to have the latest iPhone or android and the best provider deal, good brain gymnastics by learning friends' landlines by heart, plenty of time to socialise with friends in the old fashioned way, rather than social media, etc. I could go on forever....
I've done the no sex for a year for a couple of years, no way I'm going back there but also I'm not slave of my phone hence the phone would have to go....as long as I've my laptop |

You see I would definitely go without my phone but the amount of hassle involved would drive me mad. I use it an awful lot for work and keeping in contact with kitty so I wouldn't know what to do. I couldn't go without sex. Id go nuts and kitty would go completely cock hungry |
