I love good music, all persuasions. And I'm one of those people that think that lyrics are important to a decent tune, and can have a resonance with ones life. For me, depending on the mood and situation, ditto the song choice

So what lyrics have resonated with you?

When u walk

Through the storm

Hold your head. Up high

And don't be afraid of the dark.

At the end of the storm

There's a golden sky

And the sweet silver song

Of the lark.......

Walk on ......

You'll never walk alone.

Love it because there's always dark days, but ride it out and there'll be better days ahead

Just wish people would realise this before commuting the ultimate act

Pour my life into a paper cup

The ashtray's full and I'm spilling my guts

Do you want to know if I'm still a slut

I've gotta take it on the otherwise.

Stones taught me to fly

Love taught me to cry

So come on courage

Teach me to be shy

It's not hard to fall

So many songs document my life, I just have to hear certain ones to remember what I was doing, or how I felt about people or myself at different points of my life.

Foo Fighters - Everlong.

'Hello,

I've waited here for you, Everlong.

Tonight,

I throw myself in two,

Out of the red,

Out of her head she sang.

Come down and waste away with me,

Down with me,

Slow how you wanted it to be,

I'm over my head,

Out of her head she sang.

And I wonder,

When I sing along with you,

If everything could ever feel this real forever,

If anything could ever be this good again,

The only thing I'll ever ask of you,

You gotta promise not to stop when I say when,

She said.

Absolutely love everlong! Especially the acoustic version.

The writer your thinking off is Linda Perry.

They kicked off Slane with Everlong. I was in the Pit. Unreal.

So beyond repair

Nothing I could do

I tried to fix it myself

But it was only worse when I got through

Then you walked right into my darkness

And you speak words so sweet

And you hold me like a child

Till my frozen tears fall at your feet

Broken Things, Juliet Turner

Im privileged to have heard it live.

They are the greatest live act ever. No gimmicks or fancy stage shows just amazing songs and performances.

A toss up if I've ever seen one. Times like these was written after Grohl had a break from the band and all that went with it. He went on the road with QOTSA. Came back and missed it so much he wrote that song to let the rest of them know he felt.

Your leg came to rest against mine

Then you lounged with knees up and apart

And me and my heart

We knew

We just knew....

Morrisey - Come back to Camden.

Love this song.

Agreed. Slane was by far the best gig I've ever attended. I was right alongside the stage. Pat Smear had a big grin on his face the whole way through the show. They got as big a buzz from the gig as the crowd did.

Nice to find another Foos fan here xxx

Death she must have been your will

A bone beneath the reaper's veil

With your voice my belly sunk

And I began to feel so d*unk

Candle candle on my clock

Oh lord I must have heard you knock me out of bed

As the flames licked my head and my lungs filled up black in their tiny little shack

It was real and I repent

All those messages you sent clear as day, but in the night

Oh I couldn't get it right

Here is a church and here is a steeple

Open the doors there are the people

And all their little hearts at ease

For another week's disease

And eagle eagle towel and scream

I never once left in between

I was on the fence and I never wanted your two cents

Down my throat in the pit, with my head upon the spit

Oh reverend please can I chew your ear? I have become what I most fear

And I know there's no such thing as ghosts but I have seen the demon host

The only concert ever to come close was snow patrols first Bangor gig. It was in ward Park and Gary lightbody was so excited to be playing in the place he learned to ride his bike in as a child. 33000 people all singing run was something I'll never forget.

Desperate to control all and everything.

Unable to forgive your scarlet lettermen.
