I think it's as much about people's perceptions of truck drivers as scruffy unwashed and dirty , which in most cases isn't true , most truckers take great pride in their trucks cleanliness as they spend long hours in them !
No offence directed to the op before some smart arse pipes up |

I've been dealing with trucks for many years.
The first things that spring to mind when I climb those three steps are stale sweat, stale cigarettes and Cornish pasty crumbs. |

Nice, new, clean, warm, non stale smelling, fresh linen lined bed... That's just my Scania truck. Driver is always freshly shaved and showered...
The stigma attached is bad to be honest but the reality is so much different. As we been saying, we live in them all week, so why live in a mess??
Showers up and down the country, OK maybe not the best but shower every Nite.
No work boots in my cab either lol.
And as for the three steps to heaven, that's so right, great view from below as someone climbs in and a great view while driving as well looking down, carry on you lovely ladies.. |

i'm a truck driver myself and their is no way that I will move a truck from anyones yard unless its spotless inside, I have to live, sleep and eat in that truck.i do uk trips and thankfully getting a shower is easy. I've no time for dirty non washed truckers, never had and never will. blue jeans, check shirt and the brown boots, only way to go. a lot of people seem to think truckers are overweight smelly rought share of c@@ts, when in fact a lot of truckers do a lot these days for fund raising. as for a truck fuvk!!!! not in my truck. its my space and mine only. in fact only up to lately I always removed the passenger seat. more room to live in. |
