Haha! I am glad I'm not the only one who talks about it so often, between lifting and food intake I have bored the head off everyone I know. My poor mother does however still take an interest |

Have u tried the fitbit watches lae? I find it rather brilliant to be able to see everything on-screen from exercise, intake of calories, calories burned, quality of sleep, distances covered etc.etc.
Even tomcat took an interest in that side tbh. |

My fitness pal is great for logging food and water etc..
You can sync it to Fitbit and an UP band.. Or your phones sensor for steps.
My family just glaze over now when I. start talking about it or showing new mystery bruses from barbells or kettle bells. |

Lol my favourite mystery bruise so far was from walking lunges with a 25kg barbell. My ass throbbed for days after that one,and the entire time I was doing it,i was picturing a scene from The Secretary, where she has the spreader bar attached to her wrists and she is going about the office doing her jobs as best she could lol.

Why comment on the thread then? You were straight in there after Glim. If you have body issues go take some action, dont jump in on every discussion about keeping fit with your negativity. |

I don't think you understand what I'm getting at but in my gym there are people that go there just to be seen, they stand around drinking their pre work outs, lift a bit but congregate around the good weights, essentially hogging them |

Maybe not...there's enough of that.
Overweight and in poor health is not sexy to anyone outside of fetishists.
I love athletic girls with curves. A little fat is good with muscle underneath.
I don't like skinny fat or underweight girls either.
So to the girls doing sit up and squats until it hurts... kudos |

Feck it, I'll post it:
Funny... Kinglim, you will never understand the motivational power of flexing in the mirror after a workout, when the muscles are well worked out and swollen unless you get yourself into the game. It shows you when your muscles will be at rest in a few weeks, so it helps you keep going. Easy to judge, when you are not on the path to a more athletic body.
I wish there were more 'attention seeking' through workout and healthy diet people. Not only people would look better in my opinion but also sex would have become better most likely (better endurance, more strength and ability to try more difficult techniques... etc). |

You're being pure preachy, that I'm not on my way to a more athletic body, well for your information I am, I've been injured recently as I damaged vertabrae in my back and did some damage to my collarbone. At the moment I'm working out at home and saving up to pay for a personal trainer to get me back to the way I was when I played rugby. |

The Thread is on lifting weights and fitness in general. That's the discussion. You'll always have some fool who'll jump in with the smart arse comments about posing etc.
Health and fitness is a major issue in this country. There should be more threads about it here.
I cycle 250kms per week, train kettlebells and do cardio workouts.
Yes I look good and I like to look at myself in the mirror on occasion. Nothing wrong with that.If anything, it's inspiring.

How can you say muscles on a woman isn't sexy
Check out Camille LeBlanc Bazinet,Lauren Fisher And tell me they arent sexy!!
Fitness and Health are so important and not just be fobbed off by just few lads with abs. The over-use of our GPs and Hospital with small things with illness and health issues put such a pressure on the system rather than look after themselves they blame anyone but themselves.
Anyone that makes an effort towards fitness or/and health no matter how small is Amazing!! it's more than the other not doing a thing using excuses |

Yea I get what your saying but all I'm saying is women bodybuilders do not do it for me I just don't think it looks right and plus Bodybuilding is very unhealthy male or female not to take it away from the work dedication and effort these ladies put in its just not for me where as ladies with muscle tone and fit healthy bodies I'm all for but when you see a woman deltoids and traps bulging out its not really that attractive to me |

I lift but purely to work out the stresses of everyday life. I consider myself one of those head down get on with it gym goers who hates equipment hoggers with a passion and the dicks who leave water bottles on benches as a marker. It's not a feckin pool table lads if your not using it step aside.
Luckily my current gym is small enough and a really nice client base. I'll never be so into it that I'll have a six pack but if I can stay as I am ill be happy enough |

Hmm, you guys always make me nervous and feel like its a trick question.
But I'll rattle out my reply: clean and jerks, snatches, squats etc |

I understand why Lae, not at all, I know you do a bit of lifting(or did) & I just like to know things. So a regime of lifts like we might see at the Olympics. Sounds right. Thanks. |

"Crossfit is complete nonsense
Not really you just gotta be fit going from section to section lol no nonsense about its gruelling prob by far the best all over body workout out there... "
It depends on what your goals are. Bigger power lifters are generally to slow and lack the stamina to do crossfit, that's not to say power lifters aren't extremely dedicated and in great shape but it's a completely different discipline.
Crossfit is geared towards the more athletic type looking for the chiseled six pack rather than bulk. |

Try doing some hardcore Strongman training it's far more gruelling than any crossfit nonsense. I'm a former national Strongman competitor and have also attended several crossfit classes and found it not much different to general circuit training other than they throw in a few very light barbells and shout about how strong they are which they are not in the slightest :p |

Gotta love a girl who jerks in the gym followed by a good snatch |
