I remember being late to start a job and I told the client that my aunt had died. It wasn't a lie exactly as she had died a year beforehand

Yes of course, it`s human nature .

In the swing world, I have made an excuse to leave situations where I felt uncomfortable.

Had a guy work for me a while back who didn't turn up for work on the Monday

so he arrives in Tuesday and I asked him why he was out?

He replied "I slept in "

I asked him why didn't he just come in late and he replies "I slept in until after 3.00pm !!!!"
