With the frequent occurrence of fake profiles and bs knocking about, do we reckon we can recognise a fake profile when we see one?

ive not been duped in a number of years. mainy because i generally ignore new profiles and do most of my meeting at parties and socials its very handy |

Ah if you look, you can pick holes in most people's profiles if that's how you are, don't most of us take people at face value until we see a chink of something darker underneath?
Look, people pretending they're someone else have the problem not us because we talk to strangers openly. They seek attention, that's why they do it & they have time to do it on here because their real lives are empty because the people that know them don't want to spend time with them because of their duplicitous personalities.

No but a while ago I was with someone when they made a new id and seen all the regulars message the new bit of meat. They went into chat and were getting party invites nearly straight away.
Thats why I skip parties and the likes, I'm not welcome at most and the others have crazies turn up at them.
I just follow basic rules of common sense and dont get duped to the point where I get stood up.
I don't mind chatting to fake profiles at all. They are often more entertaining to chat to than real profiles on here. I'm not silly enough to meet them though. |

I met a woman with a fake profile.
when I first came on here I was chatting to a women in her 20s,she turned out to be crazy so I blocked her...
a few weeks later I got chatting to a woman in her 30s,we decided to meet up in a hotel....
when I met her I was amazed that she looked so young for someone in their 30s..
she told me later( after the sex) that she was really the girl in her 20s who I had originally blocked....

Ive been duped by a lad... at a coffee meet.
An hour after the time we were meant to meet he text saying i intimidated him and he chickened out. I wasnt too bothered tbh ha but this hotel meet this time.. grrrrrrr ha all sorted now though! But defo do not see tge point in someone saying they will turn up and then not bothering! Just say noooooooo..
Re profiles. Some are very obvious... but for me now there are the fakes - not who they say they are and the worse fakes - people trying to be something they arent and wasting peoples time! If they just want to chat then just go to the chatrooms.

A no show isnt the same as being duped. IMO being duped is finding out your chatting to a man who is hiding behind a single female profile or a single female meeting a single male but he fails to tell that he is married etc etc. |

For 1st time meets I wouldnt expect anyone to turn up then when they dont your not disappointed. As I previously stated keep first meet to coffee only then you wont or can't be disappointed if someone doesn't appear for whatever reason. |

For 1st time meets I wouldnt expect anyone to turn up then when they dont your not disappointed. As I previously stated keep first meet to coffee only then you wont or can't be disappointed if someone doesn't appear for whatever reason. "

yes, they are usually the ones that only have 'female' pics posted!
Each time we go to Mayo we are contacted by these 'couples' who are always keen to meet, even phoning to find out where we're staying etc... (always on a private number, though...) and then never showing.
Last trip we discover that the same single/married guy is running both profiles. You probably know him!  |
