I'm too mentally unstable, when asked what will you do if we give you a gun "Go kill bad guys" was not the answer they were looking for |

Be extremely well groomed, and dont forget the neck shave. Plus not a single wrinkle on your suit.
Answer the whole board n not just the person who asked you
Prepare your answers well and do your research...what the irish army are doing currently/overseas missions
Have you previous weapons training, if so elaborate and inform them of your firearms knowledge as well as squad target practice results
Throw it it that your are well discipline and that you are proud that you take direction well.
Best of luck |

Show them your tummy, I think they are trying to get rid of all the beer bellys in the army.
I would think they dont expect you to know everything, just be willing to learn and eager, and positive about learning.
Did you never do the rdf or anything?
If all else fails head off and join the legion or the American army.. |

Know a little bit of df history going in , they nearly always ask about it, so know the current UN missions and past ones.
In the group excercixe stage you need to show leadership but not overbearance , and you can't be too much of a sheep in it either, it's a fine line to walk. You will probably at some stage asked about relatives that served in the df, this won't happen during any interview prob in a relaxed setting like tea break or in between testing, don't get worried if you have to answer that you have none to that question it doesn't really matter
Best if luck |
