I didn't realise it was rude to ask what people were voting. Please accept my apologies.
I'm voting yes.
From what I've read, civil partnerships are already acceptable in Ireland. Isn't that similar to marriage? |

From what I've read, civil partnerships are already acceptable in Ireland. Isn't that similar to marriage?"
Well there is separate legislation for each but the entitlement to certain benefits, pension etc apply equally between the two so really it's just a legislative inequality that could do with updating to allow same sex couples to legally describe themselves as 'married' which they cannot do under a cp |

Shouldn't even be a question or a matter to vote on. If you say no your basically saying others aren't as equal as you And if you are concerned about children and "the family" bernardos and various other children's charities could do with your help. So many children out there being physically, sexually and mentally abused by they're parents bur every child needs a mother and a father.... it takes so much work for gay couples to have children and power to them. How dare anyone decide who another loves. Mind your own business, keep your nose out of others and crawl back into your backward bigot cave! |

I know of people who claim not be married to each other just so they can claim more in benefits. |

Voting yes does not make everyone equal. It makes gay people who want to get married equal to straight people who want to get married. That's not the entire population.
You're actually voting for inequality because you are reinforcing inequality for married people in law vs people who dont believe in marriage and just want to live together. |
