Have to say I'm going to be gutted when he's gone , for the last while he hasn't been the player we have all loved over the years ! John is a united supporter so I'm not getting any sympathy here !! |

Absolutely gutted in going to be working and won't get to watch the game.. Such an iconic figure within the team, really sad that he'll forever be remembered by jealous rivals for his slip, and not the quality player he was that pulled Liverpool through so many games throughout his career. One of the greatest to grace the Premiership.. YNWA |

Great player no doubt, but what really annoys me about all this is that Ryan Giggs got none of this. Granted, Giggs never had the same impact on a team that Gerrard had, but Giggs reinvented himself in a way Gerrard couldn't. Plus, 13 premier league medals? Come on, he deserved more of a send off I think. |

People have either short or selective memories in both Biggs and Scholes final seasons they got that much hype they were both touted for possible PFA awards.
Gerrard carried LFC for over a decade with many less than mediocre players. Man U had the countless superstars and outstanding teams.
Plus Stevie didn't bang his brothers wife for 7 years.
(Sorry couldn't resist)

It's like Brian O Driscoll and Ronan O Gara, BOD got a far greater send off than ROG to which he later brought up on the Late Late lol it's just something that happens |
