i got harrassed by them when the first arrived...i didnt know about them....wanted me to do a course to heal myself.....told them i had no money...pushy bastard wouldnt take no ....told me to go get my bank book....then they somehow got my address ....kept writing to me....i went in told them to stop....knowing how pushy they where i knew they would try persuade me to stay i told them that i was informing them that i was dead.. I pretented to be my brother. it was only when they thought i was dead did they leave me alone |

You think that's mad? There's a big building down from my house where ppl gather on a sunday to worship some wizard from a book,claims he rose from the dead,is the son of god and can walk on water !!
And they blatantly demand money off those suckers every week
At least scientology makes claims at self improvement,these other poor saps seem downthrodden and don't seem to mind

I'm all for religious freedom and if joining a church, cult or whatever makes someone feel better, I'm happy for them.
We can make all the fun of Scientology and their aliens but read the bible and as far as I remember there's a talking burning bush in it lol |

be a catholic protestant baptist or any traditional religon and you can leave and choose not to believe or convert to judism....who cares....but try leave scientology especially when youve been alienated from your community and your broke....they follow u intimidate harass you video u and leave u a husk of your former self....ron l hubbard famously was quoted as saying the best way to become rich was to set up your own religon |

i think as a society we are weaning ourselves off the control of organised religons....but the entrenchment of scientology is deep and justifying its existence by comparing it to other religons only helps them infiltrate society....most religons started in less enlightened times this is a 20th century entity and maligned for a modern thinking.... |

I agree with you,the only difference is 1 was started 2000 years before the other.but I wouldn't agree on weaning ourselves off the church here,they still are on the boards of most primary schools in the country and plenty attend mass,compare that to how many scientologists you know?

point i made was if you decide to stop going to mass or become a stone worshiper your parish priest doesnt show up where u work and harass you......justifying scientologys existence by comparing it to traditional religons helps them export themselves in the guise of being s church....they are not...they are in clever business of marketing...the find a potential market....milk it as a cash cow....only thing is its peoples minds is their market place.. |

.....they are a huge corporation.....They are very media shy....usually get journalists arrested or harassed by the cops...if they try to expose them in any way...this is especially true on the west coast. .. |
