I watched him recently on television and listened to him as recently as this Sunday on RTE Radio 1.
He was a great communicator, interesting, articulate, humble, clever, emphatic, and loaded with common sense.
Here was a gentleman who turned his life around late in the day, because he wanted to spend more time getting to know and share his knowledge and expieriences with his new grandson.
Only then to pass on suddenly.
If that doesn't make you bawl, then nothing will.
It just reinforces the saying, "Live every day like its your last, because one day you'll be right"
