Ok so I work in a phone shop and when a customer comes in saying their mobile data isn't working I fix it and then to check it's working I go to Google and start typing facebook in the hope that when I put in fa fabswingers comes up...is this wrong of me? Obviously I wouldn't say anything to them but the sly grin might give it away |

"Is it your age that would make you do that? I don't understand what fun is in it for you? it's a huge invasion of privacy
yeah I'm starting to realise that now "
I think your job is worth more than checking to see if the person is on fab |

What exactly does typing numbers in work mean though? How would they know if numbers were legit by doing that?
Sorry, just bit lost |

Correct me if I'm wrong but if he typed in the phone numbers and his office was lets just say one of those telesales type businesses, they work from a database of compiled information regarding individuals,a lot of which relates to their phone number. Now consider that the Op works in a phone shop,if he puts in a persons phone number that he knows is on fab,BOOM!!! up pops said persons address, email address, and whatever other details linked to the account. Get the idea now???? |

That's a fair enough example. Just wasn't clear as to why it'd be a big deal. I'm presuming that's a scenario like Miss meant then.
I could type fab numbers into work as was said in the post but I wouldn't get very far with them! |

Well I'm only surmising from the fact that op said he works in a phone shop. I have no clue what area miss' ex worked in and like u said for most of us typing numbers in at work would have no results. But lets push the theory even further,we are all aware of how varied a bunch of people operate onsite,so lets pretend that we unwittingly give our numbers to a member of our Gardaí,several of which are very openly onsite,id imagine they would have a wealth of information at their fingertips,or even someone who works in revenue. Holy shit I am definitely taking this theory too far lol. Theres gonna be no more phone sex for me hahahaha |

If a number goes in to the system then the person gets a text to rate their visit. So if you come I to have mobile data fixed your number wouldn't be asked for unless it was a case were tech support is called and then the text is to rate the call so if you were on to tech support but get a text about being in store that should raise an alarm bell...I'll just let the customer check it's working when I'm done and respect their right to privacy |
