I recently helped set up a profile for a lady friend, and gave her advice on filters, blocks etc.
Sadly her internet connection has been spotty so she wasn't able to stay on top of the profile for the first week, but I helped her when i could.
The first hour it was set up, 20 or 30 mails.
The first weekend: about a hundred.
The first week, over 200...she literally couldn't answer them all, and with some of what she showed me I don't blame her. I don't claim to write brilliant opening mails, but I'm an effing literary genius compared to some.
I was fairly attuned to the plight of the single lady here on fab, but after that I'm now fully aware. (the lady wants to meet men so she hasn't them filtered)
So lads, and sorry 99% of the mails were from guys if I can give you any advice it's this:
1. READ the effing profile.
2. DON'T state the obvious (profile location: dublin. opening mail: "hey you in dublin?")
3. Being overly familiar in an opening mail will not make women want to fuck you.
4. Learn to spell.
This is not a rant thread, I'm just stating observations. It was very interesting to see the other side.
To sum up: Have some cop on, it's not rocket surgery. |

Same kind of thing happened me.
I was over at a female friends, and she got banned from chat and made another id to go in and read room because they were talking about her as she was banned.
Anyway, for a laugh typed up "anyone into felching?"
For anyone that does not know, that's when a guy barebacks a girl up the ass then sucks the cum out.
Anyway, the room went wild, the messages had already reached 50+ before she said that. No photo or anything. But the men went crazy, well known, well verified men sending a message.
The guys on here are rotten at times. lol |

Reading the profile , being polite and actually showing some ability to be articulate for the most part does not even warrant a reply . It's a little bit like the ladies choice at a gaelteach ceile. |

Guys don't listen to our comments about too many messages so I don't know why you thought they'd suddenly listen cos you posted it.
A sensible friend woulda just said stick on your filters for a month or so. Too many messages don't irritate me, when I don't want many I use filters. When I have too many to read I bulk delete.

Joking aside...no bloody wonder I have so many unread mails out there...wonder how many decent genuine mails get lost and subsequently contacts dropped due to unreads....and no wonder by thus girls experience..how could she possibly keep up!!! |

Tis true I'm afraid and after 5 months I still can't cope with filters up, I try answer as many as I can with a polite no thanks but there are those that go unread. I've bulk deleted before and then got messages from guys asking why I deleted their messages, so ye cant win really,its part of fab I suppose |

That's part of the problem though. You cant get 200 messages a day without vast bulk of the "genuine" guys sending one.
Every girl on here knows that as soon as they join there will be a jostle for their attention. Guys trying to shoulder other guys out of the way.
Like I said above, genuine members messaging a day old profile with no pic that was looking for bareback butt sex.
I'm just glad I can hold my hands up and say I never did any of that stuff. |

I think the problem is the duplicate messages
in sure the ladies know what I'm talking about, send it once no need to send same message 3 or 4 times.
I am terrible I send to mail the people back first I know and who is on my friends list..

Because I personally don't have the interest nor the time, to trawl through the thousands of male profiles, in the hope that perhaps I may come across that rare gem of a male that might pique my interest enough to warrant a message. The bee's come to the flowers my friend,not the other way around.

A suggestion for those getting too much unwanted mail and filters set.... perhaps remove some of your public photos from your profile, keep them as private or friends only.......
If peeps are getting horny & excited looking at sexy pictures then you can expect low graded messages, unfortunately it's human nature........ bit like easy prey been hunted!!! |
