Which is your Ferrari.. having seen a 131 599 GTO drive in front of me on the way home this afternoon, must say i was green with envy.......... super looking car |

"What's the difference?"
The "o" is reference to the Italian for homologation, meaning in order for the car, or parts to be legal for certain race series, a set number have to be produced, hence the 250GTO of the 60's and 288GTO in the mid 80's.
Sadly now, its mostly used as a badge to identify production cars, tweaked to be slightly more motorsport/track focused, than the out and out race cars for road use.
And the award for the dullest post today on Fab goes to....... |

Far from boring
and the B is for Berlinetta, which is Italian for a sports car/coupe.
Agree with you though, the 599 GTO is not a real GT) at all. But still a damn good car. |

I agree, but some of the 90's designed Ferrari's still retain an analogue, mechanical feel when driven. From 430/599 onwards its akin to a computer game.
Still fun, and fast, but in a different way. |
