Over the years here I have noticed many different forms of this some witty one shots, some that can carry a thread to the max. The odd negitive snide remark that is tried to be passed off as a sence of humour or banter, a lot that get lost in translation
Is there such a thing as regional humour as in west verses east or north verses south and all other points of the compass included |

I'm not sure.
Being foreign I think my soh has adapted as it work mostly with Irish people and also most of my friends are Irish.
My family back home has got used now to the slagging but most people back home find it insulting.
I think there are common factors of soh but personalities, culture and upbringing are so different, I think sometimes the connection imir common ground are just there to understand each other's jokes. |

I've worked with people of different nationalities and I never found that sense of humour was defined by nationality. I worked with Irish people who looked at me like I had two heads, and poles who shared the same humour, mostly while holding up wires. Familiarity with the nuances of the language helps though. |
