Delighted for them. I actually watched lots of Sky news today(when not glued to the Toulon game ) and found myself welling up a few times. Especially when William arrived back at the hospital with George. I'm a proper emotional critter! 
It was just nice to hear good news for a change and I wish the 4 of them well! |

I stated i was anti royal....it a typo when i stated anti britsish....it was meant to read not anti british....my anti royal sentiment extends to royality in russia germany france and spain where royality exists or existed....no human is born greater than the next..great humans become great through achievment. Greatness isnt a birthrite....its outdate to believe in the cult of personality in any mortal.....that isnt a anti british notion... |

He challenged the concept of the divine right of kings to rule and brought in the concept of government by the consent of the people through an elected parliament. He was Christian but so was everybody else in Europe at the time and all of the so called massacres were within the rules of war at the time. |

cromwell was a mass murderer no doubt....but he was a parlimentarian despised the trapping of royality and church....disposed of the monarcy and set up england as the worlds first republic...a brave move for the time and indeed ahead of its time....but france and russia in time followed suit... |

I did think before writing the statement and am satisfied that some of those visitors to the Uk will also visit Ireland as well , The various tours which the family undertake are of interest to many people , otherwise the streets would not be lined with people watching .I am sure that Ireland is a net beneficiary of those tourists who visit the UK to see the Royal Family . Lol, it's still a daft statement.
Our tourist board conducts numerous surveys among tourists coming to Ireland. I have yet to see the British royal family being listed as a reason for tourists coming here. When your queen came over here a few years ago we were told we'd be swamped by tourists wanting to walk in her footsteps and see what she saw. Lol, tourist numbers were actually down here over the following year. |
