Ok just looking to see what my options are, was supposed to be going to social tonight, then my friends mention there bringing me out for my birthday. Now I could leave mentioning that I feel unwell but I think this would raise suspicions and no way will they let me leave. What am I to do. |

For my birthday last year i did both! Had a dinner and drinks at home and went out and met a few fabbers as they were on a night out it was great fun actually |

I faced a similar dilemma this week having achieved something my friends want to celebrate with me but I had arranged to celebrate fab style So I pulled forward my fab date and will go with my friends; friends always come first for me

I think you might have shot yourself in the foot with this post. Apparently you didn't just find out your friends wanted to celebrate with you tonight, so the best thing you could have done was to privately contact the organisers of the social and tell them what happened. It's kind of late now to cancel on anyone, but you can't be two places at once. I don't think you really have a dilemma, there's only one proper, decent solution here. Friends first, always and no matter what. |

No one knows when my birthday is. I have always secretly wanted someone to bring me out for my birthday but it has never happened and likely never will.
I do random things on my birthday. Sometimes nothing at all, only my family ever wishes me happy birthday.
All I know is I would be depressed if I spent my birthday at a social or party. I'd be depressed that my life had reached a point where casual sex with strangers was so important to me.
I would spend my birthday with someone I met from here and became friends with, but I probably wouldn't want sex from them on my birthday, I would rather they just spent time with me, maybe went on a drive to see something new, or on a walk where I could laugh and joke.
I'm not normal though, the normal thing to do is to go out with friends and have sex with anyone. To try and ignore your mortality and loneliness (which is what I do too, but in a different way).
