this is why we need to start doing something about flood protection for our major cities, we can slow flooding but it's an inevitability as global warming is not reversible we're at least 50 years too late for that

The main factor when it comes to global warming is the fact that the sun is getting warmer and is going through a natural cycle, it's really not got much to do with us. I know it's shocking, but that huge ball of plasma in the sky actually has an effect on the temperature of the earth. Who knew?

Seen this before, it's a load of nonsense really.

Silly propaganda. The sea level can only really rise 10m before the earth reverses the climate change. There probably isnt even 10m of water out there, probably only 7m.

The sea has an inbuilt failsafe. When it hits a certain temperature certain bacteria and algae start to reproduce on a mass scale. They release so much methane and other chemicals into the air that nearly all life is wiped out, and an ice age is started, the earth does not have enough water to cover us in 60m and even if it did an ice age would be triggered long before that happened.

But luck is on our side because we still are not sure if we can reverse it ourselves, its possible we could trigger an algae/bacteria event ourselves in a controlled manner, but thats really last chance saloon kind of stuff.

global warming is widely accepted as fact, yes there are cycles but we've rapidly increased the rate of warming

We know that there is dramatic climate shifts over both short and long geologic periods. Stand on any coastline and look at the cliffs and hills and you can see the physical affects of ice age glaciers and then rocks with fossils from tropical coral reefs.

Things change run for cover and suck it up !
