When you think of St Patrick's day/ paddys day what cones to mind ?

Any traditions you grew up with?

Mam always cooked a bacon stew but like coddle without the sausages.

As kids always wore a emblem badge , only adults wore shamrock

yes very true mel corned beef boiled in the cabbage water yuk I hated it still do always loved the trip into town from crumlin where I lived then passing the old Jacobs biscuit factory for the parade
