some ladys get to much mail mate to answer back there not been rude just overwhelmed i wouldnt worry about it to much.

Probably for the same reason some folk don't read profiles before contacting,or pick out parts that they like and ignore the rest.

.... and would save a lot of time, both theirs and ours which we could put to better use!

It depends on the message, its it's polite I'll try and reply regardless but if someone clearly hasn't read our profile then I don't bother and I feel that's fair.

because replying to say no thanks usual leads to

1. Further messages

2. Questioning why not

3. Abuse

4. A combination of the above

5. It's easier and less time consuming to delete
