Seen the reformed band in Ul there a few years back. Actually that reminds me I saw The Frames there as well pretty amazing. |

First Gig: Brendan shine, on the back of an articulated truck at the end of our local town sports/fete. I was about six,and it seemed good at the time (it was around the time of "do you want you old Lobby washed down" so he was quite the star to be visiting out local town.
Best Gig: that's a toughie. Probably David Bowie doing a greatest hits type gig in the Olympia a few years ago. It might not have been the nest in terms of the music (though it is right up there on the music front as well), but I'm chpoosing it as my best because I never thought i'd get to see him in such an intimate venue and singing some of his older songs. Leonard Cohen in Kilmainham a few years ago, and Prince in London run him close.

My first gig was my best gig! i was 12 went to Slane. Redhot chilli peppers, foo fighters, queens of the stone age, PJ Harvey, morcheeba and feeder, i think. Although Chic need a mention for the 2 performances i saw at EP and the galway arts festival |

First was witness in 2000. Surprisingly, the best was PiL, a few years ago in the Button Factory.
I'm raging I never got to see Pantera, live.
How's about the most disappointing gig? For me, MF Doom in the Button Factory bout 5 years back (32mins n €40). Closely followed by Stone Roses at Heaton Park. |

I was at that gig also was in the pitt all day waiting for them to arrive and when they did I could feel the tension between them all on stage, they broke up two weeks later, was a horrible day and iv seen them 12 times was possibly the worst time i ever seen them, there set was rushed, they weren't even checking tickets letting people in, was well over crowded... |

Was a shit gig. I was just behind the Pitt at the barrier. They sucked. Yeah sure apparently they argued before the gig and that's why it turned out shit.
Prodigy were awesome though... |

Some of the best I've been to
Metallica 96 and 99.
Megadeth in 95
Tool twice in 2001, again in 2006 and again in 2009.
Leeds 2002....go google the lineup for that, possibly the best festival lineup of the past 20 years.
Faith no more twice to...
....and that's only the ones I give a fuck about! |

Seen Metallica several times. Have their symbol as a tattoo so fuck I'd have to say they are best I've seen.
Slipknot aren't far behind for pure entertainment value alone. |

First was the Hothouse Flowers at a place in Salthill ages ago, best will be Paul Simon and Sting in Dublin next month and absolute worst was One Direction in Croke Park last year, they put on a good show but the high pitched screams of 75,000 teenage and younger girls drove me and my daughter out of the place shortly after they came on stage, after a visit to the First Aid camp because she fainted.... |

My first was guns n roses, skid row and nine inch nails in Wembley stadium in 91, that was some experience for a teenager from Ireland! It was definitely one of the best too.
Other great gigs were leftfield in Glastonbury, underworld in the picnic, slash in the Olympia..oh I could go on and on and on.... |
