well you have to think of the animals welfare and if its not eating then it will suffer and its only humane to help it go out quickly  |

Well your lucky the cow is quiet..
Milk the teats so as there not too big for the calf's mouth,, a few wee squirts on the Calf's nose should start to get her interested in it... Or else try the cream on the tit and a wee taste on the calf's mouth... |

Used to have cows when I was young so used to this craic. I used to lift calf up till I could get a teat into its mouth and then squirt the milk down its throat. It usually started it off. And ones He got his first dose of milk he'll be be fine. |

if the calf had a hard calving its tounge might be swelled which stops it from sucking which an injection from the vet can cure, if its sucking from the bottle but wont suck the cow, try melt some choclate and put it at the back of the calfs tounge , i no it sounds strange but it works. darymilk works best |

lol never heard that b4 the calve suckling now but needs to be reminded ever few hours |
