Anyone recommend any new music to listen to, nothing too mad though, not into death metal or any of that

Some are alternative metal but decent. Sure give em a listen.

- Volbeat

- Five Finger Death Punch (newer stuff)

- Metallica (wouldn't be a list without them)

- Emphatic

- Trivium

- Avenged Sevenfold

- Disturbed

Enough there to have a listen to anyway

I really like Ghost BC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkBt7yLXyDk

I want to have a swing party with it as music, pentagrams painted on naked bodies in candle wax.

middle of nowhere

Slashs new album world on fire is pretty good, but his self titled album with different singers is better.

Nine inch nails are always worth a listen.

Stone sour are good. In ways different to slipknot and in others very similar. You can see the influence of the time corey spends with them affecting the music of slipknot

Been an Incubus fan since the late 90's, but stopped after "crow left of the murder" I preferred dirk to ben on bass, even though ben is an amazing musician (check out his solo stuff on youtube, particularly the song eulogy)

They just went too MOR for me, although i've friends who kept listening and some of their new albums are good, but meh...cant be arsed.

Ah you just know where to look.

You like deep purple and rush? Try porcupine tree. Heavy modern prog.

Led Zeppelin? Well you might like a bit of queens of the stone age. And if you like that try royal blood.
