Saw numerous profiles saying. ."was on here before , but had to leave...due to timewasters.". We have being called timewasters..because we couldn't meet people exactly when they wanted to..lol

There's a few different sorts:

•The women/couples (who are men)

•Someone that DOES MEET but doesn't show possibly because it was only small talk really and one side of the party thinks it's an actual meet lined up and when they hear nothing from other party that day they deem them timewasters

•The dreamers (mostly unverified) that don't show up because the concept is a good idea but they're not ACTUALLY willing to meet you (shame on you for taking a chance on them)

*There are sooooo many different types I guess*

I do not like these words 'time wasters'. English is reach enough to allow us define correctly and more precisely what has happened in a given situation and therefore under 'time wasting' can be hidden too much (i.e. someone deciding not to meet after a bit of chatting, as if entering into a conversation meant that there will be sex at the end).

We supose it is different for everyone.

Some people call others time wasters for simply not being hardened swingers, or canceling at the last minute because something came up.

That is life.

For us time wasters are the ones whom have zero interest in meeting period! But insist on never ending emails! Or that you mail for a while and even when trying to arrange a coffee? Its always next month im free and then more mails to say next month.

This is either beacuse they are fake profiles? Or they love the idea but when it comes to the d day! They get cold feet! ?

The latter can be understandable, the first unforgivable.

Still does not over bother us! But we can see how it would annoy some.

I have no problem with people cancelling if they actually have a genuine excuse and I appreciate that people have lives and commitments outside the world of fab kids, work etc but you get some gobshites that are messaging for days trying to arrange a meet and then cancel when you're just about to leave to meet them or worse again not even bother to show up at all?!! I can understand why people get frustrated

I actually think some do want and have intentions to meet, but get cold feet in the end. Still a waste of my time though ha

Some people get there kicks from it. Not swingers but just total messer's

Not nice when someone been stood up

They ve gone to the bother of getting ready, the expense of maybe a baby sitter, traveling and to be made a fool of. Thing to crop up and they do in real life). But as long as you honest and tell the other people as quickly as you can I think that's ok and if you can re arrange and apologise at next meet.

Sorry you's were stood up last

We've had genuine cancellations before, it happens, but the ones where people vanish and their phone is turned off are hard to take

I can't get over the neck of some people who post on these forums threads who have done the same thing themselves, as in stood people up!! Not only to us but other people also! I would love to name & shame but don't think they r worth getting a ban over.

I find total communication the key

But I ve always let people know I ve left, usually earlier cause I always get lost but always plan to be there first. And if I do get lost it's letting them know - usually fine and sure give something to chat about for the first few mins of a enjoyable meet

I agree with European, time wasting is too general, but the theme seems to be extremely common, its also almost impossible to police, I would advise telling friends but other than that, I'm afraid the scourge looks set to continue

..and choosy...they're either mad...or blind..choose better

If you have done your homework and chatted on the phone you are unlikely to be the victim of so called time wasters . You expectations need to be realistic and anyone on there internet can pretend to be something that they are not . Basic common sense should prevent you being the victim of a time waster .

I once went to meet someone. Had a road to meet them on and got there, then realised I had no credit and only had them on kik.

So I went looking for wifi/credit and when I got some my kik updated with a torrent of abuse from like 20 mins ago.

I took a phhoto of the road and sent it to them and said "I'm right here you fucking idiot"

then drove home in a huff.

The point im making is..." I left the site because of timewasters"...why would alleged timewasters be a reason for anyone to leave the site? ...

I planned a mini social last night for ALL. I stated that it was a good chance for non verified people to come say hello in a relaxed environment. No play just chat/craic etc

We ended up with a lovely 8

BUT around 10 male were messaging/texting saying they're outside and that:

•Too shy to come in

•How many there?

•How many girls

•Will we be getting naughty

•Can a couple (MF) come out to me on my car

[One lad mailed/text a gold 20 times asking for sex etc and each time I clearly replied its just chat in bar]

What's a time waster?

Beats me!!

I think the whole time waster thing is a tricky one because we all have lives. I'm sure at some point we've all had to cancel a meet last minute for genuine reasons but we may very well be considered time wasters as a result. So I think its important to remember to be patient with people and always go with your gut.
