Naas

3am in the morning and I haven't pontificated in a while. I think the beautiful people of Fab are deserving of it now. Once again, my apologies for my tardiness.

There are two universes here. One are the people of Fab who don't engage in the forums. They are the people who want fun, want it on their terms and then move on with life until the next time they seek adventure. These are the people who I am primarily acquainted with.

The other universe is here and I enjoy it almost equally. I'm not overly acquainted with most folk here and that is the way I will choose to keep it. I think friendships that are made here are great and potentially long lasting. But a few emails from ladies over the last few days to me, unsolicited by the way, reinforces my beliefs.

Do we really want to be friends, are couples so anxious to make lifelong friends with lads and girls, are singles ladies so eager to meet life long friends with couples in the belief that it will always be viewed as a legitimate friendship. It won't be. As for guys, well we just wait for the crumbs.

I want to look inside your minds, I want to see why we need to be bosom buddies, I want it to be proven wrong that it is all superficial.

This life we lead is superficial. It's a great life and I will continue to dangle my willy for whomever chooses to grab it.

But surely it is fleeting, beautiful, but nonetheless fleeting.

The life you lead may well be superficial - indeed I have no doubt that you set your alarm to 3am to post in order to reinforce your self perpetuating idea that you are "edgy" or a "deep thinker".

In my humble opinion you are neither.

You differentiate between people you encounter in "real life" and people you encounter through Fab - that is an elementary mistake. Ponder on that.

And please don't assume that everyone else who dips in and out of Fab is superficial.

I hope you enjoyed "looking inside my mind", and that you continue to enjoy Fab in whatever manner you choose to.

Most may well be fleeting - but after being around this scene about 12 years - I can say - not always!

During the lifetime of the Cork-AllFirstFridays-club regular M&Gs, we saw three weddings - all folks who met via the Lifestye/club - and there are several other couples who are still together - who started out as singles.

Connections I made in 2006/07 are still folks I regard as Friends today - and expect most of them to be so a good deal longer.

I get what you are saying and I agree somewhat with the " friendship issue" personally I'm not here to make friends (but have) but I choose to keep my swinging lifestyle private and separate from my real world. I see fab as my escapism world and yes dip in and out of my choosing.

However I wouldn't have labelled others or use some of your "choice" words.

It amuses me when I receive messages slanting my profile, seriously if you don't like my profile you really don't need to message me with your opinions ( which the Op hasnt done).

My town

Once again I am slightly baffled by the post.... If I choose to make "friendships " on this site what harm am I doing to anyone.

It's my choice to do as I so please liked it's op choice to post.

As for looking into minds I'm not sure why the need to do so?
