I was coming back from abroad and had no civvies. So I was wearing a uniform. I shouldn't have really been wearing it in Ireland but hey ho.
My plane was delayed and I got back to Dublin at about 11:00pm or so and went out to hop on an air coach.
Air coaches were having a delay so I decide to hop on a normal bus into town switch busses in the city and get home.
I hop off this bus in the city on the north side. I have just walk about a mile or so to get to Nassau street.
I then realise that it's 11:30 at night on the weekend, town is packed and people are looking at me like "whats this guy in full uniform doing".
So I start to walk to the bus stop, have to cross the liffey cut through temple bar, up the road, job done.
Which in retrospect wasnt a great route to pick.
I am walking through temple bar and then I hear it. A scream.
I turn and look and its a hen party. At least 30 women or so. One of them has screamed at me.
They all start screaming, and I just think "oh shit", They run up to me and start grabbing at me, my cock, my ass, my chest. Sexually assault me on the street in front of everyone. 
I try to walk on but they wont let me, they keep me there, molesting me.
I finally get free when they see a man in a kilt an start running towards him. I get groped a few more times till i make it to the bus.
It was an awful experience. |

Most people thought I was lucky.
Most women go through a sexual assault at some point and society and the law is awful at helping them. So I don't want to imply they are well protected, but you are right there is a gender difference there. |
