dis = this
dat = that
dem = them
der = there
etc....
The list is endless, this forum is for other user to post other examples for us less in-tune with the new form of chatting.

I don't mind text speak in a text but on fourms, profiles or in emails it drives me nuts - sometimes I can't understand mails they are so written so texty |

ooo pedantic,get you,lol ( oops,that will annoy you hehe )have to agree,over use of text speak is annoying.but some profiles and messages have such bed spelling and grammar.....bit of a turn off we like our special friends to be able to string a few words together. |

Don't mind in the correct context for chatting, texting etc. Agree with Usee, profiles should be worded correctly. When I read a profile in text language i feel like it is from a young teen. and puts me off.
I also get work emails and telephone messages from work colleagues in text language and this really irritates me. |

txt spk is fine if you're using a phone keypad (2=abc, 3=def, etc) but if you're using a qwerty then you really have no excuse, it doesn't make things faster, especially when auto correct changes things |
