Sure local people can arrange these.. Surely ?

This country needs to set up a club like the ones in the uk have been to a few.
You pay at the door have a few drinks get to know a few people have fun and go home. They are ran really well door staff bar staff and other members of staff walking around to see if you need any help. |

yes yes , but the u k is different in that licences are issued for such places by the borough councils , Ireland does not have any such licences and therefore there is no chance of seeing the same here any time soon . just sayin . |

There are plenty of people here who can and do run parties and have no bother with timewasters etc or are into doing it for profit
There may not seem so but as has been said due to the regressive attitudes here things are done without the trumpets blowing a fanfare |

Maybe they want to set it up on the aran islands and they want to bring folk over from the mainland.....don't know any other mainland apart from the continent.....or maybe its the same notion of cavan and donegal being southern Ireland |

t6he boiler house and ikandi operate under a category for health clubs / sauna type thing . These are businesses whose primary function is to turn profit , like any business . You will find that neither is actually licenced for sex , or if it is , it is for gay sex , which is laughable and always makes me wonder why it is that the law in this country grants necessary licences for gay folk , but no such category of licence exists for hetrosexual sex clubs here . Make of that what you will ! |

Do you need a license to host an adult party in a private house? |

no you dont , unless your neighbours complain and then you run the risk of commiting an offence under the statute books of operating a bawdy house . It is an offence in the republic . The way around this is to have a registered private members club , but then if you do so from a private residence your residence then becomes a place of business with the associated taxes and etc . |

I see. That would be a cool name to put on your adult C.V. 'Bawdy house operator'. |

irish statute book
And whereas, by reason of the many subtle and crafty contrivances of persons keeping bawdy-houses, gaming-houses, or other disorderly houses, it is difficult to prove who is the real owner or keeper thereof, by which means many notorious offenders have escaped punishment: Be it enacted by the authority aforesaid, that any person who shall at any time hereafter appear, act, or behave him or herself as master or mistress, or as the person having the care, government, or management of any bawdy-house, gaming-house, or other disorderly house, shall be deemed and taken to be the keeper thereof, and shall be liable to be prosecuted and punished as such, notwithstanding he or she shall not in fact be the real owner or keeper thereof.

As for the backward... Well... Only one Radio channel up to not so recently, PM having the time of the day answering a 5 year old... Look West, and tell me if you see any other part of European continent?
If it smells like a cow, sounds like a cow, shits like a cow, and gives milk like a cow, it surely cant be a donkey? |

but back to the main point without any ""... i think there are enough "forward" thinking people in "our mainland" to arrange these things quite easily.... surely ?
and i would agree with poster who stated there are ppl just coming over for the £ or Euro, and not for the love of it... but, as others say.. the more the merrier

"Mainland" aside there was a person willing to set this up not for profit and we seen what happened there. Love her or loath her she ran a good party I believe (never had the chance to experience one thanks to the backward thinking of some) yes these people are profit driven what business aren't. Those clubs that are in operation here presently may be skirting the law fair play to them they are helping to open this country up.
There are gangbangs and parties happening here every weekend by members of this small coumunity enjoyed by a lot. These people in my opinion have their research done I am sure they didn't just decide to head to Ireland for a holiday and while here sur we have a party. |

Organised parties for fun and/or profit are welcome in my eyes. Where the organiser come from is irrelevant. It's all about fun guys.
As for the 'mainland' comment (not from the organiser as far as I can see), it's a rather poorly judged term to use an a forum that covers the North and the Republic. |

It's quite a divisive term to use. Many in the Republic don't like to think of the UK as the mainland. I've heard loads of debate on this topic in the media before so I'm sure I'm not imagining it. I'm English BTW so it's not an anti-English thing. |

You must not have read what ive written then... i dont view GB as the Mainland.. be it England, Scotland or Wales... (GB)..
It was meerly to point out a geographical Fact.. thats all, i actually couldnt be arsed looking up where exactely all the money making parties were coming from..
north east england aparently.. i think, not sure..
if id have wanted it to be divisive.. id have worded my OP a lot different than i did

as regards why clubs are set up as saunas/gay bar or club is to cover the privacy laws to out a member of the gay community that frequents these premises's is against irish privacy laws and could incur a law suit . as regards a private members club this is now subject to the discrimination laws now on the statute books and there for all clubs are now subject to the 9 grounds of discrimination gender, disability, religion, sexual orientation, age, member of traveller group, civil status, family status, ethnic group the gay sauna club avoids this legislation based on the fact that only gay people will be using the premises and are only then subject to health and safety and hygiene and fire regulation's by local authority . hope this clears things up by the way these clubs are not licensed to sell alcohol but if you bring your own no law has been broken. hope this helps in some way . |
