Great idea, but as mentiined earlier, only mention it here, i was at a meet a few yrs bak organised by another site and the papers got wind of it ... they printed pics and ran a story.....the effects of it still ripple today

The first to know if its a waste of time or not is you by posting here u have seen there is a appetite for such a party. Some more info as to what date ur planning what area and at the start maybe only a compass bearing as u don't want to divulge the exact location.I am sure once u have numbers and costs u will have a better idea of how it will run from ur perspective

Papers will fill space if its a slow news week they may give it headline but more than not it will not stir to much interest as one event last year got loads of air time it still went ahead. The venue stood by the orginsers held the booking and people turned up had a ball or two even three no follow up in the rags no pics of shame full sinners. That's in the south in the north I think and my northern breathern will be able to give more insight in to the press up there I do know there is one rag that loves a good swinger story to start tongues wagging
