I've been in this "lifestyle" for nigh on 10 years, both as part of a couple and as a single. Both on this site and others. I've had and continue to have a great time.
Quiet a lot of posts appear here with folk saying " I could never go back to vanilla again" and I totally and absolutely respect their position.
I've been to lots of parties. I've had ladies sucking out of me who I haven't even spoken to. I've had sex with ladies who I haven't even spoken to and vice versa. It was and still is a real kick for me. I love it.
I don't tend to do it too often as I still see it as a fantasy that I can realise, on occasion. I don't want to do it too often as it may then become the norm. That is what scares me.
I don't want it to become the norm as eventually, hopefully I will meet a lady, maybe a vanilla lady. She will not understand my lifestyle and I want to be in a position that I can walk away from this.
Can we singles get too immersed in this? Can we see it as the norm? And if so, what are we leading ourselves into?
I don't want to be 60, single and logging into a site where I am seen as being surplus to requirements.
Eventually I want to hold someones hand, kiss their cheek and cuddle them and not want to let go.
Until then, I shall continue here and continue to enjoy all the fruits that Fab may present to me.

I would agree with you willow. When I first joined I thought this place was the answer to everything. I was always afraid of having to commit to one guy the rest of my life and I imagied swinging was the perfect answer. Since joining I had a relationship with a fabber and the reality was when he did have a meet it was hard. I was jealous and insecure and IT felt wrong. I don't want my future life partner to want to share me with other men and I don't want to share him with other women.
More power and respect to the couples that can. It takes an absolute and complete love and trust in each other and it's really a sign of strength in a relationship. I admire those that do. I just don't think I can |

A very interesting topic. We came to swinging as a couple so haven't ever experienced the single side. I totally get the thrill and excitement of new and varied partners, but if it comes at the price of more meaningful relationships then it's not worth it.
When a couple comes to swinging it is a shared learning experience. A couple grows and learns in swinging (as long as they have solid foundations). They already have the love and companionship that many singles are looking for.
When a single comes to this alone it's a different story altogether as any prospective relationship partners are going to be in a totally different headspace. They haven't had the shared experiences and the growth and learning together that comes from couples swinging.
It's a difficult position to be in.

I'm not sure if I would want to give up my single life/fab life to be honest I never really was a relationship type, been there didn't particularly like it burnt the tshirt. But it's the case with everything else, if you're content with what you're doing you tend to stay at it, for the moment and the foreseeable that's where I'm at, when or if that changes then I'll have a rethink  |

ve also been in swinging relationships too one for 5 years and been a single on the scene for a good few years too and if I met a woman that didnt swing then id leave it all behind its not the be all and end all to life. there are too many guys on here looking for a woman to cpl up with just so they can fuck more women which defeats the point of starting a relationship in the first place. id rather be a single male than fuck with someones emotions just so I could fuck more women. |

that's the thing I would find it very hard and I can say that even though I'm single. But when you start a relationship you have to make it work and for Me I would try my hardest to make relationship work . |

I tend to feel trapped in relationships as time goes on. Sex tends to get rubbish, cant stand their company so while I enjoy dating, for me to get into a relationship again it would have to be with someone who is polyamorous. Could take or leave swinging but not giving up my kink for anyone again |

Part of me loves the casual fun too much to give it up, but I've been single for a while now and wouldn't mind a relationship. I'd have to go out with someone who's open minded enough to at least discuss swinging at some point. Right now I can't see myself giving it up, but if i fell in love (and being honest with myself I dont think I've ever been in love, and i was married once!)...like REALLY in love, maybe I could.
So to sum up, for the right woman I'd probably give it up....but I think the right woman would be someone who'd swing with me! |

I'd consider an open relationship. I dont think i could do exclusivity. But then i consider myself pretty much 'vanilla' on here, as in the fact I'm only looking for the occasional one on one meets so then I don't really think I'd be giving up a 'lifestyle'. |

After been in long term relationships and married etc and now enjoyed my single life the past few years can honestly say it would take some man to make me want to leave this lifestyle. Only had this debate with fellow fabbers the other day and I don't think men like confident experienced women in relationships they seem to feel intimidated and insecure. Probably end up back on the site then as a couple sorting out their fantasies and wish lists  |

If I was to start a new relationship I don't think I'd swing either. If that puts couples off playing with me then so be it.
