Cork Social - 20th February - part 2!!

The other thread got closed so...

We are hosting a social in a city centre venue on Friday 20th February. We have chosen a great bar for this event and a separate area will be put aside exclusively for us until about midnight. This is a late bar, so it will be open till late.

They venue have kindly offered to provide finger food to keep us going and there will be no cost.

As always with these events availability outweighs demand so numbers are limited, but this is a fairly large space so it will be a good opportunity to meet lots of people.

As this is a public location this is purely a social event but what you get up to afterwards is up to you of course.

Who - VERIFIED users who have been on the site for more than 3 months

When - Friday 20th February 8:30pm till late

Where - Cork city centre

A mixture of couples and single will be invited. If you are interested in attending please post in this thread and send us a message requesting an invitation including a contact mobile number.

Attendees will be texted the details of the venue and any other instructions shortly before the event.

Looking forward to meeting old and new friends.

firstly I dont think people have age restrictions for conversions.

as for the press nobody bar belle and hunter know the location and unless they have tipped them off id not worry.

Yes nobody at all knows the venue apart from Belle and myself. It will stay the way until the morning of the event.

Also remember this is not a big hotel event where people go back to rooms afterwards. It's just a night in a bar with like-minded people and nothing will happen that doesn't happen in every other bar in the city.

It's pretty much a non story.

As for your age.. don't worry in the slightest, you will find people very happy to chat with you I'm sure (unless you're an arsehole in which case you're knackered).

Tip for the future about replies to the invite:

Maybe set a time-limit for accepting the invite. For example 72 hours. If no reply by then, they'll lose their spot to someone on the reserve-list.

That way you guys don't have to continue with the uncertainty, and it makes it easier to replace.

I think there should be some exceptions though. For example if someone is waiting for approval to get time off from work, but still keep you informed.

Meet and greets and socials are not open to all. There are only limited spaces and a lot of people who asked for invitations didn't get them. I blocked because you sent me 4 messages in a very short length of time and my inbox is already exploding already.

Didn't you get the text? It's strictly kids TV character themed.

Not really lol

I would avoid sportswear and runners, it's not super formal. I'll be aiming for smart casual myself. The ladies will be making an effort I'm sure so the gents probably should a little too.

It's going to an awesome night! Please note this will be held in a sectioned off area of a city centre bar - dress code is up to you but please ensure it is suitable to wear out in public!!

I'm living near city centre already. Sharing apartment with one other guy, but (I hope) he won't mind if suddenly bring someone home.
