I have caught the dreaded flu that everyone tries to avoid over Christmas!
What's everyone's way of curing themselves?
I'm on uniflu and strepsils but would love to hear of a more natural way!

Hot water, lemon and honey.. Drink as much as you like. Also make sure you keep hydrated - something like lucozade sport will help. Hope you feel better my lovely, it's horrible being poorly xxx |

Lemon and honey dose the trick for me too, I put 1 jar of honey into a killer jar and slice 2-3 lemons into it add some fresh ginger and give it a good stir, it can be kept in the fridge for up to a month you can add a few spoons to hot water to make a tea or take a spoonful of it to ease a tickley throat. Feel better soon x |

"My nan is telling me chicken noodle soup and boiled 7up! X"
Just not at the same time
You could also try cider vinegar and honey in water it worked a treat on my sore throat over Christmas (gargle and swallow) |

a lot of people I know who had it got a very chesty cough which could lead to a chest infection and bronchitis. Be very mindful of that and get something straight away if you start to cough.
I was flat out with it for a week. And I still had symptoms for another 2 weeks after.
I hope you feel better soon! |

Whiskey whiskey and more whiskey, it's the best medicine, whiskey when your poorly makes you better and whiskey when you're better make you poorly or something like that, hot water and lemon is only good to sooh a soarthroat, or change of climate, I'm off to south east Asia tomorrow if you wanna come. |

If you're hocking up green stuff it's a bacterial infection and you need and antibiotic..
Tonsillitis is more than a sore throat, you will see it on your throat. -antibiotic!
If you've just got the head cold.. Snots (lovely I know) headache, joint ache general meh., get an OTC from pharmacy, save your €50 than going the doc. |

"A thermometer is your best friend for deciding what you've got, flu usually runs a high temperature, a cold doesn't normally take you above 38°."
Or the oldfashioned trick. Drop money on the floor (used to say a fiver in the ould punt but I'd say twenty nowadays) if your able to bend down to pick it up it ain't flu. |
