Yes I did! And stuck to them too I made a resolution to get back into reading before bed instead of watching TV - Im on my third book since xmas. Also started keeping a gratitude journal and trying to keep a more positive attitude.

I always loved to read but haven't picked up a book in about ten years despite having a bookshelf full of them! I do find my mind wanders though and I'll have read a whole page and not taken in a word on it. Maybe it's just practice to get back into it

I hate making any...However I'm rather opinionated so in certain situations I'm learning too be more level headed, the things, that really matter are...the thing's that really matter...there are alot that don't!!

Never heard of a gratitude journal so just googled it, how's it working out for you? Must keep you fairly positive!

kildare

I used to read a lot of books - bios and history - the bloody Internet has ruined all that - attention span has diminished to jumping between stuff.

I do enjoy a book on holidays though. I read 4 over Christmas.

I missed reading too hence the resolution! It does take a little to get back into practice, but yes the focus has returned and I read two really good books, the third ive just started and it's borning so I think that's why the attention has been waining slightly

It actually does! It reminds you of all the things that made you smile during the day and then brings back the feeling of being happy and stops your mind automatically focusing on the negative, it does actually help retrain your brain to think about the good and not the bad

Sounds good, it's so easy just to focus on the negative
