Lived away for a couple of years, ya never think ya miss the kip as much as ya do! Xmas in Ireland better then anywhere else. Then there's always weddings and funerals, only difference between an Irish wedding and an Irish funeral is there's one less to buy for !! It's the greatest kip in the world!! But only we allowed to say that! |

"Schools teaching literacy.
"
Oops. Be careful now cos ur ear is about to be burned off you on the subject of dyslexia. Did nobody give out the memo that there are certain people that are above the rules and that only those people are allowed to exercise double standards.
Actually thats something I'll never miss about Ireland, double standards and begrudgery.
As for something that i do miss, the good old days when u could leave ur kids outdoors to play without having to keep an eagle eye trained in their direction for fear of what could happen to them. |

Dublin |
We lived in London for 14 years .Had a great time there and have some lovely friends, but i lived for my times back here. Whether it was landing in Dublin airport or sailing into Dunlaoghaire Harbour always brought a tears to my eyes ,cos I knew I was home .Mrs J. |

Oh I remember trip to tipp, was all excited to go. A gang of us went on a bus. Myself and another didn't make it in the gates or home again for two days!! Only bold thing I ever did as a teenager. Great times
