This is not a rant.. I'm in way too good form to rant. I'm just puzzled...
Why do random "strangers" send friend requests without a so much as a "hi"?
Does it work? Do people just add?
I know I don't.
What do the requester want to achieve?
Is it just pictures?

I don't get it either? It feels a bit rude. .esp those that don't have any pics and are unverified.
I don't add people to my friends list unless I have met them in person. ...... Or they are geographically far away and we have chatted for a good while.... so I just ignore them and leave them there, (if you delete them they just resend but if you leave them there they can't. )  |

Posted this earlier on a thread,Random friend request hate it! We kept getting a friend request from someone and after the 10th request I mailed them with don't you read the profile? And got a nasty mail back,but as a lovely fabber pointed out just stop deleting the requests and they can't send another one...  |

but i just accept the ones that i have been chatting with and delete the rest

Ah feck I'm always deleting them! Good tip guys will leave them there anymore!
It is very annoying when the same people keep sending requests but can't even bother saying as much as a hi! Most of our private pics have our faces in them so we don't want to accept invites from people we don't know |

Some people are just a bit mad....
Some are just chancers and some just nutjobs.
The trick is knowing how to deal with them....
Sadly some get all the others a bad name and thats the really frustrating bit as it stops some of us who have manners and respect from being able to get in touch with people.
But thats the world we have to operate in, so no choice but to get on with it. |

Have to say it doesn't bother me, I have no friends only pics so I accept all requests. Makes no odds to me whos on my friends list or not, ive never even looked to see who's on mine! |

If they make an effort at communicating fair enough but randomly they get ignored ... The only time I even look is if there is someone I'm interested in other than that I don't even bother looking at the friend request tab |

Yep ginger know exactly how you feel this is always happening to me. Just sick and tried of getting them from total random but well verified cpls and females. Come on pls I have feelings you know and at least hello  |

i wouldnt add anyone i hadnt talked to as a friend nor would i ask them to add me if i hadnt been chatting to them for a while. Its pic collectors want to see your private pics. |

The only benefit of friends on here is seeing their friend only pictures and friends updates..... I hid our friends pictures for 3 months and during that time we didn't get one friend request. So, now if we get one without knowing or chatting we just message and ask why did they send it? More often than not they don't reply  |

I don't accept friend requests unless I've met them in person first at least!! Now 1 or 2 of the forum regulars might try to get me to accept their friend request......but I don't give in, not even to them!! lol! |

I got one yesterday. I didn't except it and asked him why he sent it without even saying hi. He never even replied and assume he just wanted a look. Well he won't be looking.  |
