On RTE1 at minute. Remember learning about this years ago at school but didn't realise the enormity of the wind or the amount of people killed on that night. Wonder how we would cope with something like this today? |

" we wouldn't cope....today we are over reliant on modern tech infrastructures...wether its esb phone or internet....if a slight storm caused outage of these we would struggle

Unimaginable damage caused it really must have been a terrifying experience and I dread to think what would happen if a repeat storm came along. No matter how much warning we would have the terror and damage would be immense |
