It's on RTE1 at 9.30pm tonight! Out of curiosity I might have to watch it! Will anybody else watch it!??
What are your opinions of Charlie??
Well for one thing, Charlie brought in the pension for the elderly!

We might get to see a different to Charlie on the series, it might gives us a better picture of what he was about re his personality!

The writer and the actor who plays Charlie was on The Late Late a while ago and the writer said it's about his character rather than his actions. So could be interesting from that aspect. |

Once him and Neil blaney got away with gun running in the 70s it left it wide open for doggy politicians and as i hear from my piers so often that once he introduced unmarried mothers allowance adoption became impossible in this country. But my opinion on that is a child is better with his/her parent. |

Well i actually watched it and found so many love/actors in it. Wasn't to impressed and to think it cost 4 million to make 3 episodes you think it could have been better. Brian lenahan snr was made out to be a scared little mouse eating up s crumbs.
it makes you wonder what the Bertie ahern series will be like lol
don't think Il be bothered watching the other episodes.

You know what struck me watching it last week? (Apart from the fact that RTÉ obviously only have one set of actors) a lot of people are unhappy with the dole culture(not people who struggle to make ends meet) nowadays, if we elect people like Charles Haughey, are we now reaping what we sowed? |
