"Dutch is good after all it's fun for both , on another note I had a lady insist on paying for lunch recently , a pleasant surprise "
Why a surprise?........ I like treating sometimes too especially if its a regular guy i see.... although do sometimes have to sneak off and pay without them knowing |

If i invite a guy I'll pay though has left me enjoying a room by myself on occasion when something or someone else comes along. The few occasions lads have gotten a room they paid but would prefer pay half just hate the money discussions |

I'm a bit funny about money when it comes to meets. It's not a conversation Id like to have...... Feels wrong somehow. We have always paid our hotel costs and will continue to do so.

Yea exactly, I'm the same. You don't like bring money into convo when meeting but if someone offers and insists, well yea. |

Here's my social rule: "You invite, you pay.”
Especially if you’ve chosen the restaurant as well as making the invitation.
We all use phrases as code for "I’ll pay", like "Please be my guest"; "It will be my treat” and "I'd like to invite you to join me…
It's good manners to offer to pay for yourself or contribute a tip, and always wise to be prepared to pay for yourself, because, you never know.
Finally, rest assured that even if your date does pay for you, you're under no obligation to become horizontal. |
